Under the Safe City Project in Madhya Pradesh, Telecom Wing of Madhya Pradesh Police got the installation work of CCV cameras done in big cities and religious places of the state. The project has been implemented in two phases where the first phase was completed in the year 2018. This included 4,000 cameras in 11 cities and the second phase was carried out in the year 2019 with 4,000 cameras in 50 cities. The Madhya Pradesh Police Safe City Project, is unique in India as the cameras of all 60 cities are being monitored from a single location in Bhopal called Safe City Monitoring and Response Center (SCMRC).
